Protect the space you move through
Measure the room with doors open as well as closed. Check the space in front of the vanity and beside adjacent fixtures with your installer. A narrow cabinet can still project too far into the room, so review depth as well as width.
Choose storage deliberately
Decide which items belong in this room and where they will go. Open shelving may suit towels but leave toiletries on view. Ask how drawers are arranged around the plumbing before assuming that a larger front means more usable storage.
